A nice small solid red ewe with her "winter coat" starting to shed or cast off nicely, having a nice red lamb with white bobby
socks by her side. Another nice solid light red ewe with her "winter coat" and her
fancy
spotted lamb Remember she WILL shed all that coat out without any help to a really flat, slick as a dog, hair coat before summer. Some like the black ewe above don't get as much undercoat in the
winter so don't appear as coated in the ones in these photos. One of the smallest known mini Katahdins with one of her fancy spotted
lamb. Two very nice full bodied mature mini ewes showing not only the capacity
for
multiple births but also a body to hold enough to keep her weight up
and feed the lambs through weaning time.

Rt Red/roan/spotted A nice solid dark red ewe lamb These wonderful solid and sometimes spot painted sheep shed their
coat each year so you have no need to hire a shearer! They are very personable
sheep that are always dog tame when given attention. Most shown are spotted
but they are more common in colors like solid white, cream and solid red
in several shades. The "Standard Sized" Katsahdins are used as meat
animals and in for meat lamb cross breeding programs, the minis make wonderful
pets when you have no need or want form meat and wool. They make wonderful
young youth projects because there is no wool that must be groomed for
show, always a Showmanship favorite because of that. They are very tolerate
of high heat, Twin often and with their wide variety of colors and patterns
are always able to surprise you in the barn each lambing season. No need for tail docking. Most rams get a wonderful mane and bib of longer hair in the winter
on their neck and brisket for a nice exotic look. Most are completely Polled ( hornless ) but there are horned rams
born from time to time. The horns being short and thickly based. THE MINIATURE
